If a pet is found in the car you will be turned away - regardless how long you have waited in line or if you have ticket or not. Shangri-La staff and volunteers will be checking the parking lot and grounds periodically – our primary concern is for the safety of the animals!
Please contact an area kennel (such as this one below) for assistance in giving your pet a good weekend too:
Surry Kennels – (207) 667-7400

Please note that the festival is not responsible for your bike/scooter and that you will not be able to move your bike/scooter unless you are leaving the festival grounds. For safety reasons, any form of transportation that would carry you faster than a walking pace will not be allowed. This applies to all areas: camping, parking and the infield area.

- Medical Assistance
- Wash Stations
- Showers (at select locations throughout the campgrounds)
- Portable toilets with toilet paper (although we suggest that you bring at least one roll of TP, just in case. Also, you may prefer not to go into a portable toilet in the dark so we suggest bringing a flashlight with fresh batteries)

RE-ENTRY POLICY & PARKING
All festival goers are welcome to come and go from the grounds as they please, provided they are holding valid wristbands or tickets. Cars, on the other hand are another matter:
Cars in the camping area
Campers, if they choose to, are able to park and camp next to their tent in the main camping area. Access into this area will be available throughout the festival, but access out cannot be guaranteed, if your vehicle has become surrounded by tents for instance, until Monday, August 4th, when we will clear the grounds by 2pm. If your vehicle is unhindered you may leave through the camping entrance. The camping entrance will not be manned between 11pm -6am. If you will need to come and go often, or during off hours, please park in the day-parking lot through the Main Gate.
The Day-Parking area
The Day-Parking lot will open at 4pm, Thursday, July 31st and close at 3pm, Monday August 4th. All cars parked in the day-parking lot over night must display a camping-but-parking-here pass or they may be towed.
No Camping will be allowed in the day-parking area.
ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED!
QUIET CAMPING AREAS
We will be providing a ‘quiet’ camping area on-site. While Shangri-La is a place for people of all ages, we feel that providing a special area for parents, children, and quiet people will help provide a better festival experience for all. Please arrive early and request a spot in this area at the Camping Entrance, we cannot guarantee space in this area.
This area will be identified on the maps you will receive in your program at the gates. Let’s do our best to respect this area. Those camping in this area can enter through either the Camping Gate or the RV entrance.
RV PARKING AREA / RV PARKING PASSES
There will be designated RV parking areas in the campgrounds this year. Parking all of the RVs together allows us to provide adequate camping space for traditional campers and better maintain the camping grounds while improving traffic flow. The RV camping area will make it easier for RVs to exit the grounds after the event, and to be serviced throughout the weekend. RV parking tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve an RV space.
RV tickets are specifically aimed at vehicles needing power and water access, large vans, buses or other over-size vehicles may or may not be required to park in this area and purchase an RV ticket (please call us if you if you have ANY question about your vehicles dimensions and eligibility).
WORDS OF WISDOM
With your cooperation we can leave a positive impression with the town of Blue Hill, and in doing so, preserve the vitality of the community. Please respect the rules of the venue and local community so that we may be welcomed back in the future.
The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited at Shangri-La.
The sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
All laws pertaining to drug and alcohol use should be respected. We encourage you to participate in the festival in a lawful and healthy manner.
We work hard to insure the safety and quality of all official food and beverage vendors. For health and quality reasons, we urge you to refrain from buying from unlicensed vendors. We appreciate your support of the official Shangri-La vendors as they have made a commitment to the festival to provide quality and safe food options for you. There are many authorized vendors in the festival area and campgrounds.
The service roads must remain open at all times. Please walk on the shoulders provided, not on the roadways! This is the only way that we can provide emergency medical and fire protection as well as service the toilets and pick up the trash. ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED!
Fencing, gates, and checkpoints will be positioned throughout the grounds to ensure that people are valid ticket holders, campers, or RV campers. Please buy the appropriate tickets.
